Luxury Store Manager
The role of the Store Manager is essential for the continued and future growth of MOSS! As Store Manager, you are the ultimate leader in the store, setting high standards for your team. You are responsible for driving a profitable business and focusing on genuine connections with clients and consignors that build loyalty as well as managing efficient operations. You are responsible for leading, managing and continuously developing all aspects of the store's business and are accountable for creating and maintaining a positive and highly productive work environment. You are trustworthy and lead by example. You will be responsible for consistently achieving sales goals, maintaining relations with our current consignors bringing in new consignors, managing inventory selection/buying, achieving operational objectives, maintaining merchandising standards and creating a highly successful store team. You will asses staffing needs and recruit new talent as needed while training and developing your existing team to ensure everyone is contributing to their highest potential. You will foster an inclusive work environment where fun comes from success and learning, and everyone has a voice. This position also requires achieving a personal monthly sales goal.
Requirements for the role:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by fostering strong relationships with MOSS clientele to achieve personal sales goals and clienteling targets.
- Maintain a client book and strategically reach out to new and existing clients to build loyalty and drive sales.
- Meet or exceed monthly store sales goals by motivating the team and leading by example.
- Effectively manage and/or train the staff across all departments including sales team, social media team, visual merchandising, and inventory manager/buyer.
- Perform buying duties such as entering newly consigned merchandise, researching high-end inventory, and maintaining positive relations with consignors.
- Increase the number of high-end consignors with MOSS. Attend consignor house calls as needed.
- Analyze weekly/monthly reports to determine strategies to maximize sales.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with both staff and clientele.
- Provide regular monthly performance feedback to employees and conduct performance reviews.
- Own the processes around interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining employees.
- Lead monthly meetings to discuss store sales, inventory, operational processes, and other essential information needed to achieve high levels of sales and productivity.
- Actively participate in social media activities that seek to increase brand awareness, share of voice, and sales.
- Implement creative sales strategies to meet and/or exceed sales targets.
- Continuously expand product knowledge of top designer and contemporary brands, and stay informed on current fashion and industry trends.
- Set monthly schedule and resolving any conflicts, filling in when needed.
- Monitor and address client feedback and concerns promptly and effectively to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Manage all aspects of daily store operations including attending to the opening and closing of the store maintaining proper accountability for cash handling.
- Communicate and uphold store policies laid out in the MOSS Employee Handbook.

Part-time Luxury Clientele Specialist
Austin, Texas
MOSS Designer Consignment is the premiere destination for luxury fashion resale in Texas. With hundreds of new items arriving each week, we offer a fast-paced work environment. We are a growing company with stores in Austin and San Antonio and are currently looking to add a part-time Luxury Clientele Specialist (approximately 16-20 hours a week) to our Austin team. This candidate must have availability on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.
Position Summary: As the Luxury Clientele Specialist of MOSS Designer Consignment, you possess strong selling skills and set high standards for yourself. Working closely with your Store Manager, you are responsible for helping drive profitable business - focusing on creating genuine connections with clients to build loyalty. You are accountable for creating and maintaining a positive and highly productive work environment. You are an exceptional stylist with a natural talent and ability to build wardrobes for clients. You thrive on achieving your personal sales goals, and make it your mission to be successful in your role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver and uphold a superior standard for overall MOSS customer experience, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
- Meet and/or exceed monthly store and personal sales goals, proactive sales benchmarks, and any additional targets set forth by the Store Manager.
- Build and cultivate strong relationships with MOSS clientele by genuinely greeting and engaging every client, offering guidance in navigating the store layout and locating specific items, providing personalized styling assistance, and anticipating client needs, ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
- Develop and nurture a client book by consistently fostering strong client relationships through authentic engagement.
- Continuously communicate with clients through various channels, such as phone calls, emails, social media, text, or in-person, to keep them informed about new arrivals, newly marked down merchandise, and store events/sales/initiatives.
- Maintain regular communication with top clients via email or text, with handwritten thank-you notes sent to top clients monthly.
- Attend monthly staff meetings to discuss sales performance, inventory status, and client requests.
- Collaborate with other staff members on creative ideas, client outreach initiatives, and social media efforts.
- Perform various social media tasks such as adding new arrivals to the Instagram stories daily
- Provide feedback and insights to management regarding client preferences, product demand, and market trends to inform purchasing and merchandising decisions.

Requirements:
- At least 2 years experience in sales/clienteling in a high-end retail environment such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and/or upscale boutiques

Luxury Buyer Clientele Specialist
San Antonio, Texas
Position Purpose: The Luxury Buyer Clientele Specialist plays a dual role at MOSS Designer Consignment, combining strategic buying with elevated clienteling and sales leadership. This position is responsible for curating exceptional inventory through thoughtful consignment selection, cultivating strong relationships with top consignors and clients, and driving sales through deep product knowledge and personalized service.
This role requires a sharp fashion eye, strong analytical skills, and a natural ability to build trust with high-value consignors and clients. The Luxury Buyer Clientele Specialist works closely with the Store Manager and leadership team to ensure inventory aligns with MOSS’s brand, customer demand, and sales goals. This position may also act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when needed to support store operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Buying, Inventory Merchandising
- Evaluate, select, and price consigned merchandise in alignment with MOSS quality standards, brand positioning, and current market trends.
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy when entering new inventory into the POS system.
- Stay informed on designer history, current resale values, and competitive market pricing to ensure strong sell-through.
- Monitor inventory performance and make data-driven buying decisions to optimize sales and profitability.
Consignor Client Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top consignors, providing a consistent, elevated, and professional experience.
- Proactively source and acquire new consignors to meet or exceed monthly buying and acquisition goals.
- Manage relationships with out-of-state consignors to grow mail-in box consignment volume.
- Follow all MOSS consignor policies and procedures, including onboarding new consignors and sending required communications.
Sales, Clienteling Customer Experience
- Deliver a luxury-level client experience through personalized styling, product expertise, and proactive outreach.
- Develop and maintain a strong client book, nurturing long-term relationships with high-value clients.
- Communicate regularly with clients via email, text, phone, social media, and in person regarding new arrivals, drops, markdowns, and store initiatives.
- Uphold and model MOSS service standards on the sales floor at all times.
E-Commerce Marketing Support
- Partner with the Store Manager to manage Shopify webstore operations, including inventory selection for web, listing accuracy, and sold item management.
- Collaborate with the in-house photographer to ensure timely and on-brand web photoshoots.
- Prepare and send weekly Mailchimp campaigns according to established cadence and drop schedules.
Analysis, Reporting Strategy
- Analyze weekly and monthly sales trends and inventory performance to inform buying and selling strategies.
- Prepare and share regular inventory and consignment performance updates with store leadership and upper management.
- Present key inventory insights and takeaways during monthly staff meetings.
Leadership Store Operations
- Communicate relevant buying, inventory, and client insights to staff to support sales performance and consistency.
- Step in as Manager on Duty when needed, including opening and closing the store, overseeing cash handling, preparing end-of-day deposits, and completing EOD reports.
- Ensure all store policies and procedures outlined in the MOSS Employee Handbook are consistently followed.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with the Store Manager and leadership team regarding store needs and growth opportunities.
Scheduling Availability
- Full-time position, 40+ hours per week, five-day workweek.
- Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexibility to provide occasional weekend (at least once a month) and holiday coverage as needed for business operations or MOD responsibilities.
Role Focus Time Allocation
This is a hybrid role combining strategic buying with luxury clienteling and sales leadership. Time allocation may flex seasonally based on business needs.
Percentages are intended as a guideline and may shift based on seasonal volume, staffing needs, and business priorities.
Core Buying Inventory Management – 60%
- Consignment selection, evaluation, and pricing aligned with MOSS brand standards and current market demand
- New consignor acquisition and ongoing relationship management with top consignors
- Inventory data analysis, sell-through monitoring, and buying strategy adjustments
- Mail-in box consignor outreach and management
- E-commerce inventory selection, Shopify listing accuracy, and coordination of web photoshoots
- Weekly and monthly inventory reporting and trend analysis
